FAQs

When is Tejas Bank scheduled to upgrade its core system?

The transition to our new system will commence on Friday, September 8th, and will be finalized before our Monday, September 11th opening.

Will I experience any disruption to my access to funds during the conversion?

Rest assured, your access to funds will remain intact. However, we recommend carrying two forms of payment to mitigate any unexpected service interruptions.

Will my account number(s) remain unchanged?

If your savings account number is identical to your checking account, it will be modified. Otherwise, customer account numbers will remain unaffected following the conversion.

Can I still use my current ATM/Debit Card?

Indeed, your existing ATM and debit cards will remain functional throughout the conversion period.

Will the conversion have any impact on online banking?

Online banking will be unavailable from 2:00 pm on Friday, September 8th. Access to the new platform will be restored on Monday, with your initial password being the last 6 digits of your SSN. You’ll be prompted to create a new password upon first login.

Will account balances be updated in real-time?

Certainly, when a purchase is conducted using a debit card, the transaction will be promptly posted to your checking account.

Will I continue to receive paper statements in the mail?

If you receive statements via mail, this will continue. Please note that statements mailed from our processor might take an extra day for delivery. For quicker access, consider opting for eStatements.

Pre-Conversion Checklist:

  • Ensure your contact details and joint owner information are current. This helps us maintain an updated database with accurate information.
  • Mark your calendar with the conversion dates: It starts at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 8th, and concludes over the weekend, wrapping up on Monday, September 11th, when regular banking hours resume.
  • Get ready for restricted account access. Make sure to address your banking requirements before the conversion weekend, as online banking services will be have limited availability.
  • Prepare with backup cash or alternative payment methods. Having enough cash on hand or an alternate card, like a credit card, can prove helpful during the conversion weekend. ATM and debit cards will remain functional for cash withdrawals and purchases, please note that balance inquiries and transfers won’t be accessible during this period.
  • Secure your eStatements before the conversion. If you wish to retain statements dated before September 8th, we recommend downloading or printing eStatements from your Online Banking before that date. (You’ll have access to statements for thirteen months, but not immediately – they will become available over time.)
  • Remember your Online Banking User ID, account nicknames, alerts, and recurring transfers. This information will be necessary for the new online banking system. During your initial login, you’ll be prompted to establish a new  password and security feature.
Post-Conversion Checklist:

  • Access the new GoBanking platform (formerly Online Banking) by logging in. Utilize your existing Internet Banking ID, and use the last 6 digits of your SSN as your temporary password.
  • Get the latest Mobile Banking experience by downloading our new apps. Remove the current Tejas Bank Mobile Banking app from your devices. Starting Monday, September 11th, our new Mobile Banking app will be accessible for download from Google Play and the App Store.
  • Sign up for GoStatements (formerly eStatements). Existing eStatement users, will need to accept terms and conditions.
  • By enrolling in GoStatements within the new GoBanking, your upcoming statements will remain accessible electronically.
  • Reestablish account nicknames in the new GoBanking. Your existing account nicknames won’t transfer to the new system, but you can recreate them after the core conversion.
  • Verify your GoPay (formerly Bill Pay) details. Payee information should migrate to the new system. Ensure all accounts and payees are as expected. Re-establish any automated payments that were previously configured.
  • Expect two September statements. The initial one will cover transactions from your previous statement date to September 8th. The second, featuring a user-friendly design, will display activity from your standard cycle date.
Mobile Deposit
Mobile deposits won’t be available from Friday, Sept. 8th, at 2 p.m. to Monday, Sept. 11th. Ensure you download the new app and accept the terms to resume mobile deposits.
Bill Pay
As we transition to the new bill pay system, your current payment information will carry over. While we’ve preserved recurring entries, we suggest reviewing payees, amounts, and dates upon your first use. Payments scheduled until Sept. 8 will process under the old system. For those after Sept. 8, reschedule in the new system. Contact us for assistance with canceling payments or arranging alternatives.”
ACH Origination
Our team will reach out to commercial customers who use ACH origination to support the conversion of their ACH files to the new system.
QuickBooks / Intuit Products – Action Required
As Tejas Bank concludes its online banking upgrade, it’s necessary to adjust your QuickBooks settings and account links for a seamless data transition. Prior to Friday, Sept 8th, please connect to Tejas Bank online banking via QuickBooks to conduct a final download/backup of your Web Connect file for the relevant accounts. After this, disconnect all Tejas Bank accounts from QuickBooks. On Monday, Sept. 11th, re-establish connections to these accounts in the new online banking system.
